Abstract
Heslo v odborné encyklopedii pojednávající o Jiřím z Boru (+1413)/1414), který náleží k významným církevním hodnostářům a odborníkům na kanonické právo, kteří ve druhé polovině čtrnáctého a na počátku patnáctého století působili ve vrcholných funkcích pražské arcidiecéze a zároveň vyučovali na právnické fakultě kanonické právo. Patřil zároveň k hlavním odpůrcům Jana Husa a viklefské hereze. Je autorem několika dochovaných právních spisů.
The encyclopaedia entry deals with the Jiří (George) of Bor. George of Bor (+1413)/1414) is one of the most important church dignitaries and experts in canon law who in the second half of the fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries worked in the top positions of the Prague Archdiocese and at the same time taught canon law at the Faculty of Law in Prague. He was also one of the main opponents of Jan Hus and the Wycliffe heresy. He is the author of several surviving legal writings.
