Specific Requirements for Technical Documentation in the Automotive Industry

Abstract

This paper focuses on solving some of the problems arising in the design process groups in the automotive industry. The geometrical specification of machine parts in the automotive industry creates a number of problems, the solutions of which is not entirely trivial and even the current standards do not offer a satisfactory solution or do not solve the issue at all. For this reason, a number of non-standardized, fragmented and mutually inadequate methodologies are created, which do not address this issue comprehensively and sufficiently satisfactorily to allow these individual adjustments and proposals to be applied on a larger scale.
