dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce se zabývá britským protektorátem Pobřeží Moskytů, a to jeho vývojem od konce 17. století až po jeho začlenění do nikaragujského státu v 19. století. Cílem práce je prozkoumat příčiny vzniku tohoto velice specifického protektorátu, analyzovat jeho fungování a zhodnotit jeho vliv na kulturní a politický vývoj regionu. Pozornost je věnována také vztahům mezi Brity a původními obyvateli Miskity, mocenskému soupeření Velké Británie, Španělska a Spojených států amerických, procesu dekolonizace a současné situaci na Pobřeží Moskytů.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis examines the British protectorate of the Mosquito Coast, and its development from the late 17th century to its incorporation into the Nicaraguan state in the 19th century. The aim of the thesis is to explore the reasons for the creation of this very specific protectorate, to analyse its functioning and to assess its impact on the cultural and political development of the region. Attention is also paid to the relations between the British and the indigenous Miskitu people, the power rivalry between Great Britain, Spain and the United States, the process of decolonization and the current situation on the Mosquito Coast.en
