dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce se zabývá institucí generálního guvernéra v politických systémech Austrálie a Nového Zélandu. Generální guvernér reprezentuje v obou zemích britského monarchu a na základě ústavních dokumentů disponuje klíčovými exekutivními pravomocemi. Cílem práce je zjistit, jakou roli má generální guvernér v politických systémech Austrálie a Nového Zélandu, identifikovat rozdíly mezi formálními pravomocemi a jejich skutečným výkonem a charakterizovat postavení generálního guvernéra v současnosti. Práce se mimo jiné zaměřuje na historický vývoj instituce generálního guvernéra, na rozdíly mezi formálními a reálně vykonávanými pravomocemi a na vztahy s dalšími prvky politických systémů Austrálie a Nového Zélandu. Práce využívá metody dvou případových studií, které jsou podrobeny porovnání prostřednictvím komparativní metody.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor's thesis examines the institution of the Governor-General in the political systems of Australia and New Zealand. The Governor-General represents the British monarch in both countries and based on constitutional documents holds key executive powers. The aim of this thesis is to determine the role of the Governor-General in the political systems of Australia and New Zealand, to identify the differences between formal powers and their actual exercise, and to characterise the position of the Governor-General at present. Among other things, the thesis focuses on the historical development of the institution of the Governor-General, on the differences between formal powers and their practical application, and on the relationships with other components of the political systems of Australia and New Zealand. The thesis uses the method of two case studies, which are compared through a comparative method.en
