| dc.description.abstract-translated | In effort to attract visitors to the destination it is necessary to examine the motives of participation in events organized outside of the habitual residence of individuals and to study the events visitor segments, classified according to various segmentation criteria. In this context, we aimed to identify events visitors ‘profile in domestic tourism Slovakia. In terms of Slovak citizen’s demand, we can identify three relatively homogeneous segments of events visitors in domestic tourism ‒ young hedonist, organized conservatives and prudent visitors. Young people without commitments are usually single students who are ready to spend relatively most moneys for interesting events. They search for information about events on the Internet and prefer to participate in tourism events with an unusual atmosphere. Organized conservatives participate in tourism events the most frequently. They get to hear about events mainly from friends, relatives and colleagues. Prudent seniors visit events in tourism only rarely. They learn about them especially from their relatives. In addition to the cultural enrichment, seniors participate in events because of spiritual experience which is important to them. | en |
