| dc.description.abstract-translated | The meaning of innovations is critical for the companies that try to expand and grow. Through innovations and innovating value creation it is possible to expand revenues and profits in long the run. For innovative company culture innovative leaders are needed. These types of leaders can inspire other leaders and employees for new ways to develop business practices leading the transformation of companies in a successful way. An innovative leader’s leadership consists of different components according to Sen and Eren (2012). These are understanding content technologies, communicating on content technologies, visionary thinking, leading both things and humans, understanding values, willpower in work, leaders getting/having followers, interaction and communication between leaders, organizational culture (internal conditions), and external conditions. Our empirical study reveals the most notable factors affecting successful innovative leadership. The study provides guidelines for the most critical leadership practices in technology companies context. In total, 34 technology master students participated in our survey. The respondents worked in technology expert positions at the same time. | en |
