dc.description.abstractPráce se zabývá kurskou politickou reprezentací v Iráku v klíčových událostech 80. let 20. století. Vůdčí událostí je irácko-íránská válka a snaha Saddáma Husajna a kurdské politické reprezentace nalézt způsob vzájemného soužití, který však skončil neúspěchem a tragédií Kurdů. Práce popisuje působení dvou významných politických stran - Demokratická strana Kurdistánu a Vlastenecká unie Kurdistánu. V době irácko-íránské války nejprve tyto strany soupeřily mezi sebou a vyhledávaly spojenectví, které by jim přinesla úspěch při prosazování národní identity. V důsledku postupujícího konfliktu a tlakům ze strany Saddáma Husajna se tyto strany spojily proti ústřední vládě. Práce směřuje k analýze faktorů, které stály v cestě jednoty Kurdů a Arabů v rámci Iráku.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis research focuses on northern Iraq (Kurdistan), on its relationship to the central authority, on the Kurds´ struggle against Saddam Hussein´s regime, and the reactions of the central authority in Baghdad in the 1980s. Through this research, we try to review political alliances between the political parties in the Kurdistan region and the central government, as well as the role of the outside, represented in neighbouring countries in the Middle East (Iran or Syria) or the West and the United States of America. The research focuses on the struggle inside the Kurds´ political representation and it rapprochement. There is a discussion about the role of the Kurdistan region in the iran-iraq war, and how the relationship between the Kurds and central authority developed during the war.en
