dc.description.abstract-translatedThe aim of the article is to point out the opt-out model – the not so well-known institute in the framework of working time. This model can be characterized as an individual and voluntary lengthening of weekly working time of an employee. There is the complex characteristic of the opt-out system and its impact on the current applied practice in the article. The important part of the article is also the comparison of opt-out model according to the Slovak Labour Code with opt-out model according to the labour law of the European Union.en
