dc.description.abstractPlastické hmoty se v kabelovém průmyslu vyskytují tak často, že již téměř zcela nahradily materiály klasické. Používání plastických hmot je však často spojováno s rizikem požáru, obzvláště jsou-li tyto látky aplikovány v prostředí, kde se může vyskytovat výbušná atmosféra anebo další hořlavé látky (zejména ve formě prachu). Jednou z možností, jak snížit hořlavost plastů, je změnit jejich složení. Příkladem může být přimíchání retardérů hoření do základního polymeru. Článek popisuje nové trendy v používání plastických materiálů jako kabelových izolací či plášťů, třídí kabely dle jejich funkčních schopností při požáru a vysvětluje odbornou terminologii z oblasti požární bezpečnosti kabelů.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThanks to frequent usage of plastics, ordinary materials were almost replaced from cable industry. But the term - plastics is often connected with the risk of fire, especially if these materials are used in proximity of explosive atmosphere or other flammable substances (mainly in the form of dust). One choice to decrease the flammability is to change their composition. An example could be to mix of fire retardants to a basic polymer. The article describes new trends in plastics for cables insulation, classifies cables according to their functional ability during a fire and explains technical terminology from the fire safety range.en
