| dc.description.abstract-translated | The study deals with the cult of the early medieval Frankish abbot St. Leonard in medieval Bohemia and Moravia from its earliest beginnings in the first half of the 12th century to the end of the Middle Ages. The text seeks to create the first comprehensive capture of the form and expansion of the St. Leonard’s cult in the Bohemian Middle Ages with the help of a detailed analysis of medieval sources. On the example of church or altar dedications, relics, cal- endars and artistic monuments was not interpreted only the spread of the cult of St. Leonard in connection with the medieval German Eastern colonization, but also the close relationship of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. to the mentioned saint. | en |
