| dc.description.abstract | Vládní vojsko byl ozbrojený sbor, který existoval od července 1939 do května 1945 a který představoval jeden z prvků zdánlivé autonomie Protektorátu Če‑ chy a Morava. Maximální počet jeho příslušníků nesměl překročit 8 000. Vlád‑ ní vojsko bylo tvořeno 12 prapory rovnoměrně rozloženými po celém území protektorátu. Vyzbrojeno bylo pouze lehkými zbraněmi. Hlavními úkoly byla strážní služba a pomoc při likvidaci následků přírodních katastrof, popř. později pomoc při odstraňování následků spojeneckých náletů. První prapor pak měl i ceremoniální úkoly na Pražském hradě, a to jako čestná jednotka protektorát‑ ního prezidenta Dr. Emila Háchy. Jednotlivé životní osudy příslušníků vládního vojska však i po desetiletích zůstávají nepopsány. | cs |

The maximum number of its members may not ex‑ ceed 8000. The government army consisted of 12 battalions evenly distributed throughout the protectorate and was armed only with light weapons. The main tasks were the guard service and assistance in dealing with the consequences of natural disasters or later assistance in removing the consequences of Allied air raids. The first battalion then had ceremonial tasks at Prague Castle as an honorary unit of the Protectorate President Dr. Emil Hácha.
