Cesta univerzity do vesmíru – splněný sen

Abstract

Snem nad každého je podívat se na Zemi z vesmíru. Jen několik vyvolených to může udělat osobně. Také jen málokdo sen realizuje pomocí techniky. My, tým PilsenCUBE na Západočeské univerzitě v Plzni, jsme to štěstí měli v podobě významného podílu na realizaci první české technologické družici VZLUSAT-1 a na dalších kosmických projektech. Je ale třeba poznamenat, že to bylo dosud dvacet let intenzivní a nelehké práce. Je popsána cesta od nanosatelitu czCUBE přes vlastní návrh nanosatelitu PilsenCUBE I a vybudování pozemního segmentu na ZČU, první český technologický satelit VZLUSAT-1, misi na balistické raketě NASA REX, VZLUSAT-2 až po práci na studentském nanosatelitu PilsenCUBE II.

Everyone's dream is to look at the Earth from space. Only a select few can do it personally. Also, only a few realize their dream with the help of technology. We, the PilsenCUBE team at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, were lucky enough to have a significant share in the realization of the first Czech technological satellite VZLUSAT-1 and in other space projects. But it should be noted that it has been twenty years of intense and difficult work so far. The path from the czCUBE nanosatellite to the own design of the PilsenCUBE I nanosatellite and the construction of the ground segment at ZČU, the first Czech technological satellite VZLUSAT-1, the mission on the NASA REX ballistic rocket, VZLUSAT-2 and the work on the student nanosatellite PilsenCUBE II is described.
