Calculation of the heat transfer coefficient using the Newton's law of cooling

Abstract

The contribution is devoted to the ongoing applied research project focusing on heat exchange between flowing steam and boundary walls. At first, the practical significance of the heat transfer coefficient is introduced. Furthermore, the solution of the heat transfer at standard conditions is shown in a simple geometry, which is part of the sealing of the steam turbine. The heat transfer coefficient is calculated using the Newton's law of cooling. Finally, the results and evaluations are discussed.

Příspěvek je věnován probíhajícímu projektu aplikovaného výzkumu zaměřeného na výměnu tepla mezi proudící parou a stěnami. Nejprve je uveden praktický význam součinitele prostupu tepla. Dále je řešení přenosu tepla za standardních podmínek znázorněno v jednoduché geometrii, která je součástí těsnění parní turbíny. Koeficient prostupu tepla se vypočítá pomocí Newtonova ochlazovacího zákona. Nakonec jsou diskutovány výsledky.
