dc.description.abstractTato práce pojednává o vývoji komunikační sítě na Starém Městě pražském. Nejdříve se zabývá geologickou a geomorfologickou situací vltavského pravobřeží a vývojem historického jádra Prahy od 9. století. Vědci se zabývají vývojem komunikací v Praze již od 19. století na základě studia starých plánů Prahy. Mezi důležité komunikace náleží cesta východo-západní a dále cesta vedoucí severo-jižním směrem a spojující Pražský hrad Vyšehradem.¨ Přelomem ve vývoji pražských cest bylo založení Havelského města a výstavba staroměstského opevnění.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis work deals with development of the communication network of the Old Town in Prague. First I describe the geological situation of the Old Town and the emergence of Prague since the foundation of the Prague Castle in the 9th century. Gradually a settlement developed around the castle and then the Vltava River right bank was colonized. Scientists were interested in the development of the communication network in the mid-19th century already. They studied old maps and plans and based on these they were designing travel routes. An important way was the Long Street, leading from the east and ending at the Old Town Square. It continued in the other direction through Kaprova Street to the ford or the bridge. The Celetná Street also led to the Old Town Square from the east. Another very important road was the so-called Vyšehrad Way, connecting the bridge with Vyšehrad Castle. It led probably through Karolina Světlá Street. In the 30ies of the 13th century, St. Gall's Town was founded and walls were built around the Old Town. This influenced the network of streets inside the city in a significant way. In the last chapter I describe the types of paths which were found during archaeological research.en
