dc.description.abstract	Autorská ilustrovaná kniha Pouto Gabrielovo - Příběhy prstenů vypráví o historii a symbolice těchto jedinečných šperků. Prsteny jsou jednou z nejstarších a nejznámějších forem tělesné ozdoby a objevují se téměř ve všech kulturách světa. Nosí je ženy i muži a kromě uspokojení čistě dekorativních potřeb sloužily mnoha dalším účelům, praktickým i symbolickým. Prsteny byly používány k zástavě jednoho srdce druhému a vyjádření rodinného stavu, k pečetění korespondence a ověřování dokumentů. Sloužily k uctění památky přátelství, uctění mrtvých a jako talismany poskytující ochranu proti silám zla. Tyto šperky sloužily také jako symbolické vyjádření víry nebo jako hmatatelný důkaz moci a bohatství. Nositeli poskytují cenný historický pohled do různých kultur a slouží i jako časová osa hlavních designových témat a materiálů v historii šperků. To vše se skrývá v malém kroužku nasazeném na prstu.	cs
dc.description.abstract-translated	The author's illustrated book The Gabriel's Bond - Stories of Rings tells the story of the history and symbolism of these unique pieces of jewelry. Rings are one of the oldest and most well-known forms of body adornment and appear in almost all cultures of the world. They are worn by both women and men and, in addition to satisfying purely decorative needs, they served many other purposes, both practical and symbolic. Rings were used to pledge one heart to another and express family status, to seal correspondence and authenticate documents. They were used to commemorate friendship, honor the dead and as talismans providing protection against the forces of evil. These pieces of jewelry also served as a symbolic expression of faith or as tangible proof of power and wealth. They provide the wearer with valuable historical insight into different cultures and also serve as a timeline of the main design themes and materials in the history of jewelry. All this is hidden in a small circle placed on the finger.	en
