| dc.description.abstract | Tato práce se věnuje novodobé historii karibských států. Pro lepší pochopení jejich směřování ve dvacátém století věnuji pozornost širším dějinným souvislostem vzniku každého z nich. Odlišná doba objevení evropskými mořeplavci, rozdílný způsob kolonizace, využití nových ostrovů i třeba postoj jejich nových vládců k otrokářství budou později formovat přerod těchto kolonií na více či méně nezávislé země. A právě emancipace je obsahem dějin Karibiku druhé poloviny dvacátého století. | cs |
