dc.description.abstractPráce je zaměřena na problematiku demokratického deficitu EU, což je označení, kterým akademici označili nízkou legitimitu evropských institucí. Existuje mnoho přístupů, jakým lze demokratický deficit vnímat a existují také dva tábory akademiků - jedni myšlenku demokratického deficitu podporují, druzí ji odmítají a tvrdí, že pokud budeme EU vnímat jako mezinárodní organizace a ne jako národní stát, tak se jedná o legitimního aktéra. Dále zmiňuji politickou debatu, ve které se evropští politici snažili naléz řešení problému spojeného s demokratickým deficitem. Tímto řešením měla být Lisabonská smlouva, která přináší dílčí změny v institucionálním systému EU. Cílem práce je prostřednictvím analýzy jednotlivých institucí EU posoudit zda Lisabonská smlouva přispěla ke zvýšení legitimity EU.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe work is focused on the democratic deficit of the EU, which is the name by which academics have marked the low legitimacy of the European institutions. There are many approaches which reflect democratic deficit, and there are two camps of scholars who study situation in the EU - one part of them support the thought of democratic deficit and others reject it, arguing that if we perceive the EU as an international organization and not as a nation state, so it is a legitimate actor. I also wrote about the political debate, in which European politicians are trying to find solutions to the problem of democratic deficit. This solution should be the Lisbon Treaty, which implements partial changes in the institutional system of the EU. The aim is through the analysis of individual EU institutions to assess whether the Lisbon Treaty has contributed to increase the legitimacy of the EU.en
