dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce se zabývá chodem Masarykova léčebného a výchovného ústavu pro zmrzačené děti v Plzni v meziválečném období. Zaměřuje se především na činnost jednotlivých ústavních oddělení - léčebného, výchovného a řemeslného. Dále autor objasňuje, jak bylo plzeňské zařízení, případně jeho jednotlivé sekce, spravováno, kapacitně vytíženo či financováno. Opomenuty nezůstaly ani veškeré budovy, které ústav v meziválečném období využíval pro vlastní účely. V závěru práce je zhodnocen přínos celé západočeské instituce pro děti s tělesným postižením. Autor při psaní diplomové práce vycházel především z vydaných a nevydaných pramenů (Národní archiv v Praze, Archiv města Plzně).cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe diploma thesis deals with the working of the Masaryk Medical and Educational Institute for Crippled in Pilsen during the interwar era. It focuses mainly on the working of individual departments of the institute - the healing, the educational and the artisanal departments. Next, the author clarifies how was the Pilsner institution, eventually its individual sections, managed, the use of the capacity of the institute and how it was financed. The buildings of the institute which were used in the interwar era for the institute's purposes were also mentioned. In the conclusion of the thesis the benefit of the West Bohemian institution for children with physical disabilities is evaluated. When writing the thesis, the author used mostly the published and unpublished sources (National Archives - Czech Republic, Pilsen City Archives).en
