dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce se zaměřuje na popis dvacátých let 20. století ve Spojených státech amerických a jak se tato tzv. Bouřlivá dvacátá léta promítají do románu Velký Gatsby od slavného amerického autora Francise Scotta Fitzgeralda. Cílem práce byla analýza románu a jeho dvou filmových adaptací. Práce byla následně doplněna komparací literární předlohy Velký Gatsby a zpracováním režiséra Jacka Claytona z roku 1974 a režiséra Baze Luhrmanna z roku 2013.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe Diploma Thesis is focused on the twenties of the 20th century in The United states of America and how these so called Roaring Twenties are projected in the novel The Great Gatsby written by famous american author Francis Scott Fitzgerald. The aim of this work was to analyse novel and its two film adaptations. Moreover, there is a special attention on the comparison between the novel The Great Gatsby and adaptation by director Jack Clayton from 1974 and other adaptation from 2013 by director Baz Luhrmann.en
