| dc.description.abstract | Práce předkládá reflexi vědecké debaty o volném čase lovců a sběračů, která byla v antropologii zahájena v rámci kritiky evolucionismu a probíhá dodnes. Nejprve je podán chronologický přehled vývoje vědeckého poznání lovecko-sběračských společností obecně od úplných začátků. Hlavní pozornost je věnována klíčovým výzkumům a pracím, které vedly k odmítnutí evolucionistické teorie, že lovecko-sběračské kultury žily v neustálém nedostatku potravy a neměly téměř žádný volný čas a tím pádem ani kapacitu přejít na další vývojový stupeň společnosti. Práce se věnuje kritice tohoto konceptu a následně i kritické analýze přístupů, které naopak lovecko-sběračským kulturám přisuzují více volného času, než má průměrný člověk v moderním západním světě. Cílem je poskytnout souhrn vědeckých poznatků o volném čase lovců a sběračů doplněných o důležité kontextuální informace. Kýžená je i aktuálnost. Klasická díla antropologů jsou proto doplněna o výsledky nových výzkumů k tématu. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | This bachelor thesis is focused on the leisure time of hunter-gatherer societies. The goal of this work is to analyse the scientific debate on this theme through the history of cultural anthropology from its beginning until present. The main theme is the theory of the economic surplus. It says that hunter-gatherer societies had less leisure time than all the others because they had to work harder to satisfy their physical needs. Through the lens of this theory this changed after the neolithic revolution when the agriculture gave people more resources and thanks to that also more time. The theory of the economic surplus remained more or less dominant until the big turnover in the second half of 20th century related to work of Richard Lee and Marshall Sahlins. They and others manage to convince the most of the anthropological scholars that in fact hunter-gatherer societies were the most leisured. Since than anthropologists are arguing about if or potentially how much was this turnover overstated. The latest research shows that hunter-gatherer societies probably has and had more leisure time than agriculturists but the difference is not so definitive and big as Sahlins and others thought. | en |
