dc.description.abstract-translatedIn 2022, the UN General Assembly Sixth Committee considered the Articles on Responsibility of States for Internationally Wrongful Acts for the 8th time. There was a strong push by some States to proceed to codify these Articles into an international treaty. Other States opposed this, as they believed the Articles could best serve the international community in their current form. After lengthy negotiations, the Sixth Committee agreed on a resolution not prejudging future action on the Articles and decided that it would revert to the topic during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in 2025.en
