| dc.description.abstract | Tato práce je zaměřena na spojeneckou operaci Dynamo, která proběhla za druhé světové války. Německá armáda, bojující na západní frontě proti spojeneckým jednotkám, provedla 10. května roku 1940 protiofenzivu, nesoucí název Fall Gelb. V důsledku této akce byly spojenecké síly rozděleny a následně donuceny k ústupu. Po neúspěšných pokusech o spojení rozdělených sil bylo téměř jisté, že bude nutné evakuovat britský expediční sbor. Pro tuto evakuaci byl zvolen francouzský přístav Dunkerque. Obklíčeným spojencům se podařilo přístavu dosáhnout jen díky počáteční nečinnosti, doposud postupující, německé armády. Samotná evakuace, která byla označena jako operace Dynamo, probíhala od 27. května 1940 do 4. června 1940. Operace se i přes obtížné naloďování a neustálé vzdušné útoky, setkala s velkým úspěchem. Evakuováno bylo přes 300 000 spojeneckých vojáků. Úspěch této operace byl klíčový pro rozhodnutí Velké Británie setrvat v boji proti nacistickému Německu. Práce se také zabývá událostmi, které samotné operaci předcházely. Dále práce popisuje příčiny, které vedly k velké spojenecké operaci. Velký důraz je kladen zejména na samotný průběh operace Dynamo. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | This work focuses on allied operation called Dynamo, which took place during the Second World War. The German army, fighting on the Western Front against Allied troops, on May 10 1940 started offensive with codename Fall Gelb. Because of it, the allied troops were divided and then subsequently forced to retreat. After unsuccessful attempts to join divided troops, it was almost certain that it would be necessary to evacuate the British Expeditionary Force. For this evacuation was chosen the French port Dunkerque. Surrounded allies managed to achieve the port just because of static German's troops, which were more than effective till that time. The evacuation, which was called Operation Dynamo, started on May 27 1940 and ended on June 4 1940. The operation, despite of the difficult embarkation and continuous air attacks, ended by great success. More than 300,000 Allied soldiers were evacuated. The success of this operation was the main reason for Britain's decision to stay in the fight against Nazi Germany. The work also focus on events that preceded the operation. Thesis also describes the causes that led to a great Allied operation. The biggest aim of this thesis is describe whole process of Operation Dynamo. | en |
