dc.description.abstractV první části se práce bude zabývat důvody a příčinami vzniku generální stávky ve Velké Británii v roce 1926. Autorka se zde zaměří na poválečný vývoj ekonomiky a sociální situace, zejména na stav dělníků pracujících v dolech, kterým se snížily platy, a naopak zvýšila pracovní doba v důsledku ekonomické nestability. Hlavní jádro práce se bude soustředit na samotný průběh stávky, která trvala devět dní, od 4. do 12. května 1926, a jíž se zúčastnilo přes milion nespokojených horníků, podpořeni sdruženými odbory, ve snaze dosáhnout dohody s vládou a se zástupci těžebního průmyslu. V závěru budou popsány výsledky a důsledky generální stávky a postavení horníků a odborových hnutí ve Velké Británii po jejím skončení.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe aim of this Bachelor thesis is to analyze the all conflict of the General Strike of 1926 in Great Britain. The aim of the first chapter was to bring the events from the First World War to the start of the strike and describes the situation in the mining industry. The chapter is also dedicated and political situation in interwar Britain to the onset of the government of Stanley Baldwin, who re-introduced the country's gold standard, which had among other things, resulted in increased costs to the British export, to which the mine owners had tried to react and pushed reduce wages to compensate for the loss. This then led to dissatisfaction with miners who refused any reduction in existing wages. The second part of the thesis focuses on the conflict itself, which took place on May 312, 1926. Here are important local conflicts and important actions that were conducted at the time of the strike. The third and last part was focused on the mining strike, which lasted for another six months. The aim here was to present the individual proposals of both parties for the final settlement of the dispute and, in particular, to outline the situation after the end of the strike.en
