| dc.description.abstract | Diplomová práce nastiňuje období české secese a symbolismu na přelomu 19. a 20. století, které významným způsobem předurčuje následný vývoj přicházejícího českého moderního umění. Práce zároveň reflektuje způsob užití antického motivu ve zmíněném období, v rámci výtvarného umění, v kontextu se zmíněnými dobovými změnami. Práce se zaměřuje na českého malíře Beneše Knüpfera, jehož tvorba je dostatečně reprezentativní a je možné na ní, v rámci ikonografie vybraných děl, nejlépe sledovat reflexi antických motivů přelomového období. | cs |

The thesis outlines the whole of said period, that bears the signs of the coming Modern Art. In other parts, the thesis focuses on the analysis of ancient iconography and motifs, that reflects the work of Beneš Knüpfer, who is one of predecessor and founder of Czech Modern Art.
