| dc.description.abstract | Předložená diplomová práce analyzuje zrod a postupný vznik, plánování a přípravy obojživelné operace s kódovým označením Seelöwe, která měla proběhnout v září roku 1940, nicméně se odložila na neurčito a následně nikdy nebyla provedena. Autor zkoumá především spory a přístupy velitelů jednotlivých německých ozbrojených složek, dále stavbu a přípravu invazní flotily. Současně je analyzována finální verze invazního plánu a je nastíněn teoretický transportní plán přes kanál La Manche. Rovněž autor nastínil britské přípravy a opatření proti očekáváné invazi a leteckou bitvu o Británii, s tím že se hlavně zaměřil na taktické chyby již se dopustilo Luftwaffe a jež vedly k první německé porážce ve druhé světové válce. V závěru práce autor vysvětluje hlavní příčiny odložení Seelöwe na neurčito a proč k operaci nakonec nikdy nedošlo. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | The submitted diploma thesis analyzes the birth and gradual origin, planning and preparation of the amphibious operation codenamed Sea Lion, which was to take place in September 1940, but was postponed indefinitely and subsequently never carried out. The author mainly examines the disputes and approaches of the commanders of the individual German armed forces, as well as the construction and preparation of the invasion fleet. At the same time, the final version of the invasion plan is analyzed and a theoretical transport plan through the English Channel is outlined. The author also outlined British preparations and measures against the expected invasion and air battle of Britain, focusing mainly on the tactical mistakes made by the Luftwaffe and which led to the first German defeat in World War II. At the end of the work, the author explains the main reasons for postponing Seelöwe indefinitely and why the operation never took place in the end. | en |
