dc.description.abstractV důsledku polarizace prostoru máme dva protipóly, jádro a periferii. Tento jev je předmětem mnoha teorií regionálního rozvoje a mnoha praktických výzkumů. Na začátku se celý výzkum zabýval rozvojem regionů, který probíhal nerovnoměrně, poté se teoretický i praktický výzkum zaměřil na nově zavedené pojmy, kterými jsou jádro, periferie a později jsou doplněny pojmy "semiperiferie" a "marginalita". Periferie je v geografii pojem, který v rámci polarizace prostoru označuje území polohově nebo významově odlehlé, okrajové či nedostatečně integrované. Tento pojem se užívá ve více významech, na přesném vymezení se ani odborníci neshodují. Široká veřejnost by pravděpodobně uváděla okraje státu či měst, zatímco odborník by zmínil, že periferie je oblast na okraji systému, nebo oblast do systému špatně integrovaná.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedDue to the polarization of space, we have two opposites, the core and the periphery. This phenomenon is the subject of many theories of regional development and many practical research. At the beginning, the whole research dealt with the development of regions, which took place unevenly, then theoretical and practical research focused on the newly introduced concepts, which are the core, periphery, and later the terms "semiperiferie" and "marginality" are added. In geography, periphery is a term which, within the polarization of space, refers to a territory that is positionally or semantically remote, marginal or insufficiently integrated. This term is used in several senses, and experts do not agree on the exact definition. The general public would probably mention the borders of the state or cities, while the expert would mention that the periphery is an area on the edge of the system, or an area poorly integrated into the system.en
