dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce pojednává o životě a díle hereditaristy Francise Galtona a jeho významu vědám o člověku. Vykresluje původ, vzdělání i společenské podmínky tohoto viktoriánce a zabývá se jednotlivými oblastmi vědy, v nichž se angažoval. Celé dílo je prostoupeno teorií dědičnosti mentálních vlastností, vlivem Charlese Darwina, a završeno zhodnocením respektive shrnutím Galtonova přínosu antropologii.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis Bachelor Thesis deals with life and work of hereditarian Francis Galton and his value for anthropology. It describes to the origin, the education and the social conditions of this Victorian scholar and it engages in various scientific fields, in which Galton involved. The whole Thesis runs through the theory of heredity of mental qualities, Charles Darwin's influence a it ends with the evaluation and summarising of Galton's contribution to the human science.en
