UWB at KSAA-RD shared task: Computing the meaning of a gloss

Abstract

To extract the ‘meaning’ of a gloss phrase, we build a list of sense-IDs for each word in the phrase which is in our vocabulary. We choose one sense-ID from each list so as to maximise cosine similarity of all the IDs in the chosen subset. We take the meaning of the phrase in semantic space to be the weighted sum of the embedding vectors of the Ids in the chosen subset.

Abychom extrahovali „význam“ slovní fráze, vytvoříme seznam smyslových ID pro každé slovo ve frázi, která je v našem slovníku. Z každého seznamu vybereme jedno ID, abychom maximalizovali kosinusovou podobnost všech ID ve zvolené podmnožině. Význam fráze v sémantickém prostoru považujeme za vážený součet vkládacích vektorů ID ve zvolené podmnožině.
