Jan Vičar II - hudební spisovatel a aktivní osobnost hudebního života

Abstract

Ve studii je zásadní pozornost věnována olomouckým kořenům Jana Vičara, jeho sepjetí s Univerzitou Palackého, Moravskou filharmonií a festivaly Svátky písní Olomouc a MusicOlomouc. V oblasti muzikologie se Vičar zaměřuje na hudební estetiku, hudební kritiku, teorii, dějiny, estetiku české hudby 20. století, na dílo Leoše Janáčka a na kritické hudební edice. Publikoval řadu knih, desítky vědeckých studií, stovky článků a hudebních kritik v časopisech a sbornících. Vydal desítku autorských CD, je autorem stovky koncertních programů. Působil jako šéfredaktor časopisu Hudební rozhledy, na UP založil edici Kritické edice hudebních památek a odborné periodikum Musicologica Olomucensia, byl editorem Czech and Slovak Journal of Humanities, na ZČU v Plzni inicioval časopis Musica Paedagogica. Působil ve Svazu českých skladatelů a koncertních umělců, výboru festivalu Pražské jaro, Svazu českých skladatelů a koncertních umělců a Radě Státního fondu kultury České republiky.

The study focuses primarily on Jan Vičar's roots in Olomouc, his connection to Palacký University, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Svátky písní Olomouc and MusicOlomouc festivals. In the field of musicology, Vičar focuses on musical aesthetics, music criticism, theory, history, the aesthetics of 20th-century Czech music, the work of Leoš Janáček, and critical music editions. He has published numerous books, dozens of scientific studies, and hundreds of articles and music reviews in magazines and anthologies. He has released a dozen CDs of his own work and is the author of hundreds of concert programs. He served as editor-in-chief of the magazine Hudební rozhledy, founded the Critical Edition of Musical Monuments and the professional periodical Musicologica Olomucensia at Palacký University, was editor of the Czech and Slovak Journal of Humanities, and initiated the magazine Musica Paedagogica at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň. He has been active in the Union of Czech Composers and Concert Artists, the Prague Spring Festival Committee, the Union of Czech Composers and Concert Artists, and the Council of the State Cultural Fund of the Czech Republic.
