dc.description.abstractTématem diplomové práce je průběh těhotenství a porodu v současné egyptské Alexandrii. Je založena především na vlastním terénním kvalitativním výzkumu, ale zároveň i na sekundární literatuře. Vybranou cílovou skupinou byly ženy, mladé i staršího věku, které mají zkušenosti s průběhem těhotenství, s porodem a s mateřstvím a jsou ze střední a vyšší vzdělané vrstvy městské populace. Autorka se zaměřuje také na témata jako jsou používání antikoncepčních metod, metod plánovaného rodičovství nebo řešení léčby neplodnosti u egyptských párů. Práce je doplněna o rozhovory s respondenty a také o rozhovory s místními lékaři, porodníky a gynekology. K diplomové práci jsou přiloženy fotografie a ukázky například rodného listu či očkovacího listu dítěte.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe diploma thesis is based on a qualitative research which deals with the process of pregnancy, childbirth and care for a mother and a child in contemporary Alexandria. This research was conducted between educated women from the middle to upper class who have already an experience with pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood. Other topics the thesis is focusing on are for example the use of contraceptive methods, family planning methods or the infertility treatment possibilities. The thesis is focused not only on the social aspect, but also on the medical side of this period of time. A very important part of the thesis are interviews with local doctors, obstetricians and gynecologists. Also very interesting documents are attached to the thesis such as photographs, a birth certificate or a vaccination sheet for the child.en
