dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis deals with history of basic school in Přeštice since foundation of new building in 1887 to 1948. It briefly describes the historie of Přeštice. Second chapter contains the characteristic of each period of educational history in our country. The main part is devoted to the development of the local basic school from 1887 to 1948, this chapter include first references about education in Přeštice. It describes the development of the school buildings, their repairs and renovations and the pedagogical and extra-curricular activities in the particular periods.en
