Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část pojednává o osobnosti porodní asistentky, vzdělávání porodních asistentek v České republice, legislativě, upravující práci porodní asistentky a jak funguje soukromá praxe porodní asistentky.
