dc.description.abstract-translatedRemote working is one of the flexible forms of work. The Labour Code, which until recently provided only a basic legal framework for this form of work, has been amended to introduce an explicit option to request remote working. This amendment was prompted in particular by the need to transpose the Directive on work-life balance for parents and carers. This thesis seeks to answer the questions most frequently raised by the amendment, such as the weight of European legislation in the new form of the Labour Code in the area of remote working requests, whether the amendment fulfilled the purpose and objectives of the Directive, or whether the final form faces any problems.en
