Znovu získat tělo za mřížemi: Vězeňská tetování s náboženskou symbolikou

Abstract

Vězeňské tetování je součástí tzv. druhého života odsouzených. Na tělech odsouzených mužů a žen je možno nacházet rozličná vyobrazení, kdy náboženské symboly či symboly související s určitou formou víry nejsou výjimkou. Tento článek představuje základní funkce tetování s náboženskou symbolikou v českých věznicích, přičemž vychází z více než desetileté výzkumné zkušenosti autorky a více než dvacetileté profesní zkušenosti autora z českých mužských i ženských věznic. Přibližuje funkce tetování, stejně tak se věnuje nejčastěji tetovaným symbolům, které nahlíží skrze konkrétní kategorie navržené autory za účelem zjednodušení interpretace příslušných tetování.

Prison tattoos are part of the so-called second life of convicts. Various representations can be found on the bodies of male and female prisoners, and religious symbols or symbols related to a particular form of faith are no exception. This article presents the basic functions of tattoos with religious symbolism in Czech prisons, based on more than ten years of research experience of the author and more than twenty years of professional experience of the author in Czech male and female prisons. It presents the functions of tattoos, as well as the most frequently tattooed symbols, which are viewed through specific categories proposed by the authors in order to simplify the interpretation of the respective tattoos.
