| dc.description.abstract | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá bakteriofágovou terapií, jako vhodnou alternativní léčbou stafylokokových infekcí, u nichž selhala antibiotická terapie. V dnešní době se bakteriofágová terapie dostává do popředí zájmu, protože nadměrné užívání antibiotik zapříčinilo vznik antimikrobiální rezistence, která se stala globálním problémem. Mezi nejvíce rezistentní agens patří methicilin-rezistentní kmeny Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Teoretická část shrnuje poznatky o kmenech S. aureus, konec kapitoly je věnován alternativě k antibiotické léčbě, bakteriofágové terapii. V praktické části je testována účinnost bakteriofágového lyzátu na 30 kmenů S. aureus pocházejících z Ústavu mikrobiologie FN Plzeň. Výsledná citlivost byla porovnána s účinností klasické antibiotické léčby. Z výsledků lze vyvodit, že citlivost kmenů S. aureus k bakteriofágovému lyzátu je vysoká (93 %). Preparáty obsahující bakteriofágový lyzát by se tak mohly stát velmi dobrou náhradou klasické antibiotické terapie. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | This bachelor thesis deals with bacteriophage therapy as a suitable alternative treatment for staphylococcal infections in which antibiotic therapy has failed. Today, bacteriophage therapy is gaining prominence because the overuse of antibiotics has caused antimicrobial resistance, which has become a global problem. Among the most resistant agents are methicillin-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about S. aureus strains, the end of the chapter is devoted to an alternative to antibiotic treatment, bacteriophage therapy. The practical part tests the effectiveness of bacteriophage lysate on 30 strains of S. aureus originating from the Institute of Microbiology, University Hospital Pilsen. The resulting sensitivity was compared with the effectiveness of classical antibiotic treatment. From the results it can be concluded that the sensitivity of S. aureus strains to bacteriophage lysate is high (93 %). Preparations containing a bacteriophage lysate could thus become a very good substitute for classical antibiotic therapy. | en |
