dc.description.abstractPráce pojednává o rituálech a motivech smrti ve vybraných alžbětinských dramatech. Jsou analyzována díla Williama Shakespeara, Thomase Kyda, Christophera Marlowa a Roberta Greena, jejichž tvorba spadá do alžbětinské doby, vymezující se počátkem sedmdesátých let 16. století až do roku 1642, kdy je tato kulturní epocha ukončena. V dílech zmíněných alžbětinských dramatiků se vyskytuje velké množství rozličných motivů smrti, které jsou v závěrečné kapitole komparovány. Literární činnost těchto dramatiků byla ovlivněna anglickou reformaci 16. století, která mimo jiné zcela změnila nahlížení na smrt.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe thesis discusses the rituals and themes of death in the selected Elizabethan dramas. The works of William Shakespeare, Thomas Kyd, Christopher Marlowe and Rebert Greene, whose work falls into the Elizabethan period, defined from early seventies in the 16th century till 1642, when this cultural epoch is ended, are analysed. In the works of the mentioned Elizabethan playwrights there is a large number of different themes of death, which are compared in the final chapter. The literary work of these playwrights was influenced by the English Reformation in the 16th century, which, among other things, completely changed perception of death.en
