dc.description.abstractBakalářská práce se věnuje životu Flavia Beliasaria na základě dohledatelných zdrojů. Účelem této práce je nastínit představu o vojenské a vnitropolitické situaci na území Východořímské říše během Belisariova života. Autor v práci líčí prvotní situaci, kdy Belisarius již od útlého věku disponoval vůdčími schopnostmi přes jeho prvotní angažmá v armádním sektoru. Dále je pozornost věnována jeho tažení proti Vandalům a následnému získání úřadu konzula, znovudobytí Apeninského poloostrova, obraně Říma a celkové realizaci obnovy velikosti římského impéria před rozpadem jeho západní části, až po jeho neslavný úpadek v nemilost v očích císaře Justiniána I. Jedním z předních faktorů této práce je zhodnocení Belisariových taktických a vůdčích schopností, které ještě byly vedené v duchu typicky římské vojenské školy.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe bachelor thesis deals with the life of Flavius Belisarius on the basis of traceable sources. The purpose of this work is to outline the idea of military and domestic situation in the territory of the Eastern Roman Empire during Belisarius' lifetime. In this work, the author describes the initial situation when Belisarius had leadership skills from an early age despite his initial involvement in the military sector. Furthermore, attention is paid to his campaign against the Vandals and the subsequent acquisition of the office of consul, recapture Of the Apennine Peninsula, the defense of Rome and the overall realization of the restoration of the greatness of the Roman Empire before the disintegration of its western part, to its infamous decline in disfavor in the eyes of Emperor Justinian I. One of the leading factors of this work is the evaluation of Belisarius' tactical and leadership skills, which were still conducted in the spirit of typically Roman military school.en
