| dc.description.abstract-translated | Given the goal of increasing competitiveness, it is essential for individual national economies to adopt specific tools to support businesses that develop their respective regions and help cultivate their environments. State aid appears in various forms, one of which is investment aid, which provides targeted support for designated areas with conditions defined by the governments of individual countries. Currently, the most frequently supported investors are those who pursue innovative approaches in their business activities, as well as those who aim for sustainability in their practices. The primary objective of this paper is to evaluate the situation regarding the provision of investment aid to businesses in Slovakia and the Czech Republic during the selected period through an analysis of available data, identify its development, and compare both national economies. The paper also focuses on the legislative conditions for providing this form of aid to businesses in these countries, the relationship between the costs of providing this form of aid and its results in the form of measurable indicators, such as the number of jobs created. The paper utilizes mostly secondary data from the database of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, the agency CzechInvest and current legislation in this area. | en |
