dc.description.abstractVe své diplomové práci Princip suverenity lidu a česká ústavnost jsem hledala odpověď na otázku týkající se problematiky v České republice a v sousedních státech, zda Ústava České republiky dostatečně zaručuje princip suverenity lidu. Psala jsem o historickém vývoji, samotném významu pojmu suverenita, fungování demokratických států. Zmiňuji významné vědce, kteří se tímto pojmem zabývali. Popisuji náležitosti právního státu, pojem absolutismus.Na závěr mé práce řeším problematiku celostátního referenda a materiálního ohniska ústavy.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe subject of my dissertation is the principle of the people´s sovereignty and the constitutionality of the Czech Republic. The introduction summarizes the general sense of sovereignty, the term of people, requirements on the legal state and on the scientists who deal with the people´s sovereignty . The next part pursues the constitutional basis of the Czech Republic, the people´s sovereignty in judicature and the content of the international agreements in this respect. Next chapter describes the term of democracy and the basic points of the democratic state. There are two types of democracies: the direct democracy and the indirect democracy. Further I mention the people´s sovereignty in Germany and in Slovakia. The last chapters deal with the problematic questions such as the national referendum, the control of the public power, the material centre of the Constitution of the Czech Republic and also the Lisbon Treaty in connection with the people´s sovereignty. The aim of my dissertation is to inform the readers about the present position of people´s sovereignty and the current problems in our country.en
