dc.description.abstractDiplomová práce se věnuje pojetí národa z originálního pohledu českého přírodovědce a historika biologických teorií Emanuela Rádla. S posledními lety první světové války se Rádl začal zabývat i etickou a politickou problematikou, ale také myšlenkami o národu a národnostech a je nutné konstatovat, že dospěl k mnoha zajímavým závěrům také v této oblasti. Jeho myšlenkový odkaz je bohatý svojí hloubkou, způsobem myšlení a především ušlechtilým cílem jeho snah. V práci je zdůrazněn autorův pevný etický postoj při boji s nacionalismem a především jeho osobní pocit morální zodpovědnosti světově proslulého vědce za osud vlastního národa a jeho příštích generací, který se stal o to více naléhavým v období mezi dvěma světovými válkami.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe diploma thesis deals with the concept of nation from the original point of view of the Czech scientist and historian of biological theories Emanuel Rádl. Within the last years of the World War I Rádl was engaged in ethical and political problems as well as in the concept of nation and nationality. His theoretical conclusions in this field of study are interesting as well. The intellectual legacy of Emanuel Rádl is very rich in its profundity, original way of thinking, and the noble objective which he wanted to achieve. In the thesis, Rádl's firm ethical attitude while fighting against nationalism and his personal feeling (as the world renowned scientist) of moral responsibility for the destiny of his nation and its following generations, in the era between two wars much more insistent, is emphasized.en
