Abstract

The MRI-based finite element model consists of the female pelvis, the main muscles of pelvic floor and perineum, and the fetal head. The vaginal delivery was simulated considering the optimal fetal head position and trajectory in the birth canal. The stretch and stress distribution in pelvic structures was analyzed.
