dc.description.abstractStudie se zabývá situací českých a moravských Romů za druhé světové války a cikánským táborem v Letech u Písku. Ten fungoval od srpna 1942 do srpna 1943 a prošlo jím více než 1300 osob. Část Romů zde a v táboře v Hodoníně u Kunštátu zemřela vinou špatných hygienických podmínek a nedostatečného vybavení. Většina Romů byla v od jara 1943 transportována do cikánského rodinného tábora v Auschwitz II Birkenau.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe present study deals with the situation of Czech and Moravian Romanies during the Second World War and with gipsy camp in Lety by Pisek. The camp existed from August 1942 to August 1943 and more than 1300 people went through it. Part of Romanies died in Lety and in camp Hodonin by Kunstat because of poor hygienic conditions and lack of clothes and other facilities. The major part of Romanies from Protectorate was transported to the gipsy family camp in Auschwitz II Birkenau from spring 1943.en
