| dc.description.abstract-translated | Greece, as an EU member state, attempts to achieve the goal of Fit-for-55 program by decreasing the energy generated from fossil fuel power stations (FFPPs). The objective of this study is to examine the energetic competitiveness of five appropriately selected SMRs compared to Greece’s operational coal. The analysis of daily and monthly distribution of generated energy of the previous year was conducted to demonstrate the potential insertion of SMRs in Greece’s electrical grid. The outcome will answer the question whether the deployment of a SMR is energetically beneficial for our country. | en |
