| dc.description.abstract | Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení potenciálu regionu Galicie ve Španělsku jako atraktivní destinace pro surfový cestovní ruch. Téma bylo zvoleno s ohledem na rostoucí význam zážitkového a udržitelného cestovního ruchu a specifické přírodní a kulturní předpoklady regionu pro rozvoj surfové turistiky. Cílem práce je odpovědět na výzkumnou otázku, zda má Galicie předpoklady stát se konkurenceschopnou surfovou destinací na mezinárodní úrovni, a jaké faktory tento potenciál podporují nebo omezují. Pro analýzu byla zvolena komparativní metodologie, která umožňuje srovnání Galicie s regionem Leiria v Portugalsku - etablovanou evropskou surfovou destinací. Výzkumný přístup kombinuje analýzu sekundárních dat (statistiky cestovního ruchu, klimatická a geografická data, politické a infrastrukturní rámce) s kvalitativními a kvantitativními prvky. Nedílnou součástí výzkumu je využití metody focus group, jejímž cílem bylo získat hlubší vhled do vnímání a očekávání klíčových aktérů v oblasti surfového turismu. Hlavním výstupem práce je identifikace silných a slabých stránek Galicie z hlediska její připravenosti na rozvoj surfového cestovního ruchu. Práce rovněž navrhuje doporučení pro destinační management, která mohou napomoci efektivnějšímu využití potenciálu regionu. Závěry mohou sloužit jako podklad pro další výzkum, strategické plánování a rozhodování aktérů v oblasti cestovního ruchu a regionálního rozvoje. | cs |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | The thesis focuses on the evaluation of the potential of the Galicia region in Spain as an attractive destination for surf tourism. The topic was chosen in view of the growing importance of experiential and sustainable tourism and the specific natural and cultural conditions of the region for the development of surf tourism. The aim of the thesis is to answer the research question of whether Galicia has the potential to become a competitive surf destination at international level, and what factors support or limit this potential. A comparative methodology has been chosen for the analysis, which allows a comparison of Galicia with the Leiria region in Portugal, an established European surf destination. The research approach combines the analysis of secondary data (tourism statistics, climatic and geographical data, policy and infrastructure frameworks) with qualitative and quantitative elements. An integral part of the research is the use of a focus group method to gain deeper insight into the perceptions and expectations of key stakeholders in the surf tourism sector. The main output of the thesis is the identification of Galicia's strengths and weaknesses in terms of its readiness for surf tourism development. The thesis also proposes recommendations for destination management that can help to exploit the region's potential more effectively. The findings can serve as a basis for further research, strategic planning and decision making by tourism and regional development actors. | en |
