dc.description.abstractInvaze do Iráku z roku 2003 je jedna z nejdůležitějších událostí 21. století. Tato invaze byla kontroverzní především kvůli velkým ropným zásobám v Iráku. Kritic války ji viděli jako válku kvůli ropě a americký boj o moc. Kvůli těmto dohadům se práce zabývá práce ropným faktorem. V teoretické části jsou popsána realistická východiska důležitá pro pochopení ropného motivu. V další části je popsána diskuse o roli ropy jako motivu. Americká politika se změnila po 11. září, kdy al-Kádia podnikla teroristické útoky na USA. Konfrontuji tuto politiku s realistickými předpoklady a ropným faktorem. Situací po invazi hodnotím s ohledem na ceny ropy, zapojení zahraničních firem, tajné dokumenty. Práce tvrdí, že ropný faktor mohl být důležitý při rozhodování o invazi.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe 2003 invasion of Iraq is one of the most important events in the 21st century and it was mainly controversial because of the huge oil reserves in Iraq. The critics of the invasion saw it as the war for oil and the US struggle for more power. Because of these allegations, the oil factor is the main topic of this work. In the theoretical part of the work I describe the realistic approach to international relations, that is crucial in understanding the oil motive and its role. In the next part of the work, I describe the discussion about the oil factor in this invasion. American policy changed after September 11 when al-Qaeda terrorists struck the World Trade Center. I confront the policy with realistic approach to international relations and with the oil factor. Considering the situation after the invasion (oil prices, involvement of international companies, the discussion about the oil factor, reve aled secret documents), I claim that the oil factor was important in the decision-making process of the invasion.en
