dc.description.abstractTato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou existence tzv. zvláštního vztahu mezi Spojenými státy americkými a Velkou Británií po druhé světové válce. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda zvláštní vztah mezi těmito zeměmi je fikce, nebo zda skutečně existoval či stále existuje, a ve kterých oblastech se spolupráce zemí nejvíce projevuje. Práce se věnuje politickým, vojenským, ekonomickým a též osobním aspektům britsko-amerického vztahu. Práce stručně nastiňuje historické události od doby prvních britských kolonizátorů, kdy vznikaly kořeny britsko-amerického vztahu. Dále vysvětluje pojem "special relationship" a věnuje se polemice odborníků na toto téma. Následující kapitoly jsou rozděleny do časových úseků: 1945 - 1956, 1957 - 1973, 1974 - 1989, 1990 až do současnosti.cs
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis bachelor thesis deals with the existence of the so called "special relationship" between the United States of America and the United Kingdom after the Second World War. The main aim is to find out whether such a relationship is fiction, or if it really existed in the past or exists in these days and in which areas had these two countries the strongest cooperative relationship. This paper explores political, military, economic and also personal aspects of the Anglo-American relationship. The thesis outlines historic events beginning with the first British colonisers that created the roots of the Anglo-American relationship. It explains the term "special relationship" and explores an academic debate on this topic. The following chapters are divided in these periods of time: 1945 - 1956, 1957 - 1973, 1974 - 1989, 1990 until the present day.en
