dc.description.abstract-translatedThe article was written on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Professor Zdeněk Kožmín. Attention is paid to Kožmín’s contribution to the didactics of literature and style, his in novative views on the place of artistic texts in teaching, and the possibilities of analysis and interpretation, especially of poetic texts. At the same time, the article describes how Professor Zdeněk Kožmín’s professional life was influenced by personal experiences (during World War II, during forced departure from the academic environment and teaching at the grammar school), and presents the professor as a bearer of professional and human qualities.en
