dc.description.abstract-translatedThe text is devoted to presenting a new theory of the validity and ontology of law and rights. The theory is called: “Legal conceptualism, or the rational theory of law as a general theory of law”. The creator of the theory is Jakub Rzymowski. The theory is based on the concept of universals in the understanding of Aristotle and Peter Abelard. The axis of the theory is the statement according to which rights exist insofar as they manifest themselves in specific rights that are due to specific natural persons. These rights exist as features of natural persons. The proof of the existence of rights is the existence of duties and vice versa, which is a reference to E. Bonde’s thought on the identity of opposites.en
