dc.description.abstract-translatedIn the submitted contribution, the author deals with the problematic aspects of the local referendum and the regional referendum. The first part of the article focuses on the comparison of the mandatory referendum and the optional referen dum. The second part of the article is content-oriented on referendum ante legem and referendum post legem. In the third part of this work, the author processed the issues of recall (revocation of the mayor of the municipality and the chairman of the self-governing region). The last part of the article deals with the protection period of the results of the local referendum and the regional referendum.
