Learning the musicogram method of J. Wuytacka in the course of preparing future music teachers at the university

Abstract

The article reveals the author's concept of mastering the method of musicogram by J. Wuytack, tested in the educational course “Practicum in Musical Creativity” at the Faculty of Pedagogy of the West Bohemian University in Pilsen. The study provides algorithms for introducing students to the musicogram, examples of practical tasks aimed first at mastering the technique of the method, and then at students’ independent creativity. Particular attention is paid to revealing the possibilities of combining the musicogram method with other methods previously mastered in the course (eurhythmics by E. J. Dalcroze, Schulwerk by C. Orff, body percussion, etc.), as well as with the ideas of aleatoric graphic scores, including improvisation on this basis using musical instruments by C. Orff. The article also reveals the possibility of using Japanese characters as a musicogram for actively listening to national music

Článek odhaluje autorovu koncepci zvládnutí metody muzikogramu J. Wuytacka, ověřenou ve vzdělávacím kurzu „Praktikum hudební tvořivosti“ na Pedagogické fakultě Západočeské univerzity v Plzni. Studie uvádí algoritmy pro seznámení studentů s muzikogramem, příklady praktických úkolů zaměřených nejprve na zvládnutí techniky metody a poté na samostatnou tvořivost studentů. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována odhalení možností kombinace metody muzikogramu s dalšími metodami dříve zvládnutými v kurzu (eurhytmie E. J. Dalcroze, Schulwerk C. Orffa, body percussion atd.), jakož i s myšlenkami aleatorických grafických partitur, včetně improvizace na tomto základě s využitím hudebních nástrojů C. Orffa. Článek také odhaluje možnost využití japonských znaků jako muzikogramu pro aktivní poslech národní hudby.
